Putting its focus back on its popular E.Tribeka sneaker, DC Shoes recently put together a clean Vachetta leather version of the model, the problem? they couldn't sell it.
The Solution? Grubisa's unique style, displayed on the @brbcreatingsomething Networks, caught DC’s eye immediately. DC Shoes approached Chrilleks’ ECD, @ChrisGrubisa with their limited edition E.Tribeka Model. They wanted Grubisa's creative outlook to help push sales and his Creative Team at Chrilleks took it from there: Storyboard sketches, location scouts, creating and straight to delivery.
"Myself and our team at Chrilleks are very honored to be invited for an opportunity like this. Creating with DC is very special to me, I grew up wearing their product, skating around as a kid. Now that I’m at a caliber to work alongside them, I think what’s even more unique is that our team can fit in seamlessly, with DC’s company culture, their workflow, their creative teams, each department involved. There was no bumps, turbulence, or awkward transitions, the entire process kept momentum through-out, and that’s equally as special.”

The video was received very well through-out their social networks and online, grabbing attention from massive sources like Sneakernews and Hypebeast : surpassing thousands of views within 30mins of posting, the video became such a massive hit that DC's sales and marketing team created and entire event around it. The video lives through-out the DC Networks.
DC Shoes made waves in the skate market earlier this year when they introduced their new E Tribeka silhouette. A shoe that’s fresh enough for the streets but more than durable enough for an intense skate session, the E Tribeka video helped push the brand in a fresh new direction, and even served as the centerpiece for a collaboration with upcoming LA streetwear brand FTP. Now it’s surfaced in a brand-new “Vachetta” iteration, taking the striking look and giving it a premium twist with all-new materials.
